Exciting Program Coming Together
for the 2012
Unified Symposium
Adverse
climate conditions, the state of the industry and brand marketing will be
the themes of the three general sessions for the 2012 Unified Wine & Grape
Symposium to be held at the Sacramento Convention Center on January
24-26.
"This year we'll
be doing something different by carrying the morning general session
themes into the afternoon breakout sessions, with the goal of
providing attendees with additional information they can apply to their
businesses," said Nick Frey, chair of the 2012 Unified Symposium
Program Development Committee.
The program committee has confirmed a strong speaker slate for The State of the Industry
general session on Wednesday: Mike Veseth of The Wine Economist Blog will
set the stage on global economics, Nat DiBuduo of Allied Grape
Growers will deliver the statewide report on vineyard acreage, Steve
Fredricks of Turrentine Grapes & Wines will bring a global perspective
in his overview of bulk wine markets, and Jon Fredrikson of Gomberg,
Fredrikson and Associates will enlighten the session with his incisive
and dynamic assessment of the wine market.
Between now and
January, the program committee will continue to work on the overall
program. As details are finalized and speakers confirmed, the website will be updated with that information, so
check it regularly for the latest details.

Big Changes
Coming this Year
for Hotel Reservations
Beginning October 25,
2011, at 9:00 am PDT, attendees will be able to reserve hotel rooms at
our conference rates DIRECTLY with any of the 20 hotels listed on our
website. Hotel reservations are no longer part of our online conference
registration system. Attendees will need to register for the Unified
Symposium separately. Visit the Unified Symposium Housing page for details on how to
reserve a room and receive the discount conference rates.

New Event
Parking with Shuttles at Downtown
Plaza West for the Unified Symposium
The Downtown Plaza West
Garage at 3rd and L streets has been secured as the new event parking
location through the City of Sacramento.
Parking at this new
location is $5 per day/car and is close to the Sacramento Convention
Center. Free shuttle buses running to and from this garage and the
convention center will be available on Wednesday and Thursday.

additional parking lots/garages. Parking at Raley Field will no longer be
available.
