Diversity and Gender Equality Sessions from the 2021 Unified Symposium Available for Free

The 2021 Unified Wine and Grape Symposium covered the importance of diversity and inclusion during its Thursday general session titled Strength in Diversity: Achieving Meaningful Change for Business Success in the Wine Industry and a panel session on gender leadership titled Herstory.

Due to the strong interest and positive feedback, the Unified Wine & Grape Symposium has decided to make the recordings for those two sessions available to view for free.

“It’s never been more important to elevate the discussions of equity, diversity and inclusion issues,” said Dan Howard, executive director of the American Society for Enology and Viticulture and a member of the Managing Committee. “For that reason, the Program Committee dedicated two panel sessions to a very deliberate, thoughtful and honest discussion of these topics. And, because we believe the content of those sessions is of essential value to the entire industry, we made the decision to share this information with the entire wine and grape industry for free.”

Virtual Unified Symposium Delivered the Information, Data, Networking and Supply Connections

The virtual 2021 Unified Wine & Grape Symposium continued the tradition of serving as a forum for the latest ideas, news, data and research on the industry’s trends, markets and supplies. Held for the first time as a virtual event, the Unified showcased over 300 suppliers and exhibitors and invited industry professionals to delve into issues shaping the industry through more than 20 in-depth panel discussions that addressed the state of the industry and other topics such as wildfire smoke issues, changing the way wines are sold and strategies for leadership succession.

The 2022 Unified Symposium is scheduled for January 25-27 at the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center, formerly the Sacramento Convention Center.
