Be on the Cutting Edge: Distillation Focus, Inspiration at the Unified Keynote Luncheon

The Unified Wine & Grape Symposium is the place to find inspiration and innovative information to help you stay competitive in the industry. And sometimes the Unified looks beyond the industry and challenges its attendees with bold, successful speakers. Such is the case with this year’s Keynote Luncheon. It’s set to open the Unified on Tuesday, January 29, at the Sheraton Grand Hotel. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from celebrated distiller, Lance Winters from St. George Spirits, a James Beard Foundation finalist who has dedicated himself to the art and craft of distillation. Lance will discuss the creative process within his organization and will give us the opportunity to taste three unique distilled spirits from St. George Spirits.

“The distilled beverage sector is heavily steeped in tradition, even more than in our own industry, and sometimes breaking with tradition can lead to successes. That’s one of the reasons Lance Winters was chosen to deliver this year’s address,” said Tom Collins, Unified Wine & Grape Program Development Committee chair. “Lance’s dedication to quality sourcing and the distillation process, as well as his focus on understanding how aromas and flavors affect the products they produce, have won St. George numerous accolades. Lance has shown that he’s not afraid to make a better version of whatever they’re working on. Those attending the luncheon will hear a unique perspective on distillation and the creativity he’s known for.”
