Jackson Family Wines President to Open 2015 Unified Symposium with Luncheon Address
SACRAMENTO, CA, November 21, 2014 – Jackson Family Wines President Rick Tigner will open the 2015 Unified Wine & Grape Symposium as the keynote speaker during the luncheon on Tuesday, January 27. Tigner will address key issues affecting U.S. wine companies in a highly competitive global marketplace, including the constraints U.S. wine producers face when growing their labels, addressing foreign market opportunities, and overcoming the challenges of sustainably managing resources and controlling costs in California’s highly regulated environment. He will also discuss where wine stands in today’s dynamic beverage alcohol marketplace.
President since 2010, Tigner’s responsibilities at Jackson Family Wines, the family-owned collection of more than 35 wineries, include leading and building global sales, marketing/communications, production and farming organizations as well as administrative functions. He has been involved in the beverage industry for 30 years.
“We’re thrilled to have Rick Tigner kick off the 2015 Unified Symposium and share his deep insights into the ever-changing global marketplace,” says Tom Collins, Unified Symposium’s program development committee chair. “Attendees will be able to tap into his 25-plus years of experience – from sales to president – and gain knowledge to take back and apply to their own business practices.”
A winemaker himself, Tigner serves on the Board of Directors of Vinexpo, one of the wine industry’s most respected global trade organizations, and the Michael J. Fox Foundation, which helps raise money to find a cure for Parkinson’s disease.
