Amy Hoopes is the President of Wente Vineyards, the longest,
continuously operated family-owned winery in the country.
Hoopes is heading a long-term brand-driven strategy of striving to position Wente Vineyards as the most respected family-owned winery in the world. Believing that a balanced and energized employee community contributes greatly to the overall success of company, Hoopes introduced the Wente Vineyards pioneering Make Time (#MakeTime) program in 2018, incentivizing employees to take paid time outside of working hours to engage in activities of their choosing, from hobbies and connecting with family to volunteering.
Ms. Hoopes joined Wente Family Estates in 2007 as Vice President of Marketing, directly from a decade of diverse responsibilities with E. & J. Gallo Winery. She was recruited to E. & J. Gallo’s Management Achievement Program after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania in 1997 with a degree in Anthropology. Ms. Hoopes was among Direct Marketing News distinguished list of “40 Under 40” marketers in 2014. She is a member of the Communications Committee for Wine Institute, an executive board member and current President for Livermore Valley Winegrowers Association, and a Member of Monterey Winegrowers Association.
Ms. Hoopes lives in Pleasanton with her husband and two daughters.
