Gaspar Roby’s career span a range of roles within the end-to-end
wine supply chain in large and small, public and privately held
companies. He began as a Viticulturist and Vineyard Manager in
Mendoza, Argentina, before moving to California, where he
continued his winegrowing career in the Napa Valley, working for
grape growers such as Andy Beckstoffer.
In 2008, he returned to Argentina as Director of Winemaking and Operations for DIAGEO’s Navarro Correas Winery. He continued his career as Head of Manufacturing working with rum in Guatemala and the supply chain for vodka and scotch in Argentina. More recently he became Operations Director for Diageo Chateau & Estate in the Central Coast of California, being responsible for both the internal wine production and the external custom crush operations. After the DC&E’s acquisition by Treasury Wine Estates, Gaspar served as General Manager at Beaulieu Vineyard.
Gaspar received his Master of Science in Viticulture and Enology from UC, Davis having completed his Bachelor of Engineering in Agriculture at the Universidad Nacional de Cuyo, Mendoza, Argentina. An avid golf player, Gaspar is happy touring courses around the Bay Area, gardening, reading and spending time with his family and friends.
