Ibbi Almufti is an internationally recognized expert in hazard,
risk, and resilience and leads the Risk and Resilience practice
in San Francisco and Arup’s Americas Region Resilience skills
network. His background is in earthquake engineering.
Ibbi helps clients understand their risks to natural hazards and combines quantitative risk modelling with financial analysis to enable them to prioritize investment in key asset and operational decisions. He utilizes this approach to develop resilience and recovery strategies to mitigate risks. He is also familiar with wine and the industry; he has studied wine in Italy, made several vintages of various grape varietals from California, and co-founded an Italian wine importing company 10 years ago.
