Luca Brillante is Asst. Professor & Bronco Viticulture Research Chair at California State University Fresno. Moving from the scientific understanding of plant-environment interactions, his multidisciplinary research work focuses on improving management and profitability of vineyards through development and testing of new cultural practices and machines, fusing viticulture with digital technologies. He has conducted research activity in Italy, France and California, in dozens of viticulture areas. He received a Master of Science in Viticulture and Enology from University of Torino, Italy, another from Montpellier Supagro-Bordeaux Science Agro, France, and a PhD from the University of Burgundy, France. After post-doctoral experiences in Italy (CREA-Conegliano) and in California (UC Davis) he joined Fresno State as Bronco Viticulture Chair.
