Powdery Mildew Money Tree
Grapegrowing Breakout Session

Powdery mildew continues to be a prominent grapevine pest and economic concern in vineyards throughout the United States.  Management of powdery mildew has changed over the past 10 years, with a greater understanding of the fungus lifecycle, and advancements in fungicide chemistry. However, despite these advances, powdery mildew still has an economic impact on wine grape vineyards to this day.

In this session, we will review the playbook that wine grape growers employ to manage this disease and discuss their integrated pest management approach for successful control. Wine grape growers from different appellations will discuss their challenges and successes with managing this pest.
